In the UrbANT project, we develop three prototypes of electrically powered micromobiles. These should provide an alternative to automobiles for transporting heavy and large-volume objects. In a current study, we are working with the Institut für Kraftfahrzeuge (ika) – RWTH Aachen University to test the distance at which the vehicles have to follow the test subjects. While participants walk a course together with UrbANT, they experience two following distances through UrbANT’s semi-automated following.
